“Programming Coordinator, Re-advertisement”



Hagar is an international organization committed to the recovery and empowerment of women and children who are victims of human rights abuse; particularly domestic violence, human trafficking and sexual exploitation.

Main Scopes of Work

  • In accordance with Hagar’s program framework, work with Program Managers and their teams to ensure that all projects have well developed logframes that align with Hagar’s strategy, are concise and systematic.
  • In consultation with Program Mangers, their team and the Project Officer (M&E), ensure that project’s have indicators that measure impact and project outcomes
  • With the Country Director and the Program Officer (Information Management & Coordination), set funding priorities (according to needs/gaps)
  • Ensure effective coordination and communication between Hagar Support entities and Hagar program offices so that support entities are aware of funding needs and priorities
  • Ensure that the Key Account Managers are meeting Hagar’s minimum standards regarding donor relations
  • Represent Hagar to in-country donors, building and maintaining effective relationships that will provide a platform for funding acquisition.
  • Identify funding opportunities that will grow a diverse donor base whilst ensuring that an alignment exists between donor and Hagar’s strategic mission
  • Lead and support all resource acquisition, ensuring that proposals submitted are of a high standard
  • Provide leadership, oversight and regular input to the Programming Team
Personal Requirements

  • At least 3 years development/program management experience, preferably for a INGO
  • Tertiary qualifications (preferably post graduate) in development or related discipline
  • Proven project management experience. Monitoring and Evaluation skills highly regarded
  • Highly developed analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong networking and coordination skills
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills with experience drafting reports and grant proposals
  • High levels of attention to detail and quality
  • Strong time management skills, ability to work under pressure to deadlines and ability to prioritize tasks
